Enprecis is looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer who will focus on the following:
- • Apply out-of-the-box thinking to develop big data technologies, algorithms, and applications for auto manufacturers around the world.
- • Research, evaluate, and deploy advanced cloud computing systems and large data analytics.
- • Work with large data sets, complex algorithms, and team members from a variety of specialties to solve the auto industry’s hardest problems.
- • Work as a key contributor on a collaborative, fast-growing, and highly skilled software development team.

As a small company, we don’t have a large BI staff so we’re not looking for someone who works best when surrounded by a support staff of PMs, testers, etc. Instead, we need an experienced, proactive, and a highly competent self-starter who is looking for an opportunity to play a critical role utilizing a wide set of skills in an environment that affords lots of independence.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- • Takes part in the development and maintenance of Enprecis reporting and analytics web applications.
- • Collaborates and coordinates project tasks between software engineering and business development groups.
- • Participates in the technical analysis and evaluation of new product enhancements and features.
- • Evaluates customer feedback and internal trouble tickets to create the best survey and reporting products and the most compelling user experiences possible.
- • Demonstrates a teamwork-based approach to software product development, using Scrum and XP.
REQUIREMENTS
- • 7+ years experience in BI/data warehousing development.
- • Strong experience with BI concepts and practices to provide data insight for business users.
- • Very strong knowledge of MS BI Stack (SSMS, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS) and database structures.
- • Ability to performance tune queries and large data extractions.
- • Strong understanding of dimensional modeling and OLAP. Proven expertise building cubes, as well as developing complex SQL queries, stored procedures and MDX queries.
- • Strong experience with data warehouse design, best practices, optimization and maintenance.
- • Experience working in a Scrum/XP development environment strongly preferred.
- • Experience developing software as a service (SaaS) application delivery a plus.
- • Experience in the deployment of technical solutions which are both scalable and stable.
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience.

Senior Software QA Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES
- • Plan, develop and execute various components of system testing and/or quality assurance.
- • Approach testing and quality assurance from a business point of view by creating test scripts and scenarios to ensure delivered functionality meets the business need.
- • Develop specific test conditions and expected results for regression, functionality, and stress testing.
- • Provide daily guidance to the testing efforts of the development team.
- • Review requirements and design specifications to create a QA test plan.
- • Execute test scripts to validate test cases including creating and executing complex automated test scripts.
- • Create test procedures to assure accurate and repeatable test results.
- • Create test estimates from design documentation and create quality assurance project schedules.
- • Create documents like Status Report, Summary Reports and Test Logs.
- • Conduct bug scrub meetings and status review meetings.
REQUIREMENTS
- • Knowledge of software development life cycle and quality assurance methodologies.
- • Deep experience with functional, integration, regression, performance and load testing.
- • Experience testing websites and/or web based applications is a must.
- • Testing experience within the context of Data Warehousing environments, Business Intelligence solutions and Database/ETL.
- • Strong SQL proficiency and thorough understanding of database stored procedures, views, joins and functions.
- • Preferred experience working with SQL Server 2005/2008, ETL, SSIS, T-SQL, MDX, Reporting Platforms, etc.
- • Experience working with Mercury Quality Center, Test Director, Rational Defect tracking tool or similar defect tracking system.
- • Strong analytical skills, written and verbal communication skills.
- • Experience in an Agile environment.
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience in QA for web-based applications.
- • Experience working with a structured programming language (C#, Java, C/C++, ASP, JSP, PHP, etc.).
- • Possesses a demonstrated ability to simultaneously work on multiple diverse projects which require collaboration across multiple groups of people.
- • Employs creative/practical problem solving techniques to combat difficult technical problems and exercises sound judgment in the integration of their technical solutions.
- • Ability to self-motivate and work with a high degree of autonomy all the while excelling in what is a highly team-oriented, creative, and collaborative environment of car fanatics turned developers.
- • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

REQUIREMENTS
- • 5+ years experience in customer or technical support.
- • Experience with SQL queries and reporting.
- • Experience with web concepts and practices.
- • Experience with data warehouse reporting.
- • Experience supporting software as a service (SaaS) application delivery a plus.
